Mystic Vision
Heart of the Mystic is still an idea in its infancy, and currently exists as a body of spiritual teachers, writers, musicians, artists, coaches and healers whose voices can be heard right here in these pages. An experiential school of mystery studies where learning takes place all over the world, our work is founded on the premise of spiritual freedom. Courses are presented on location in nature, in the ethers, online, and inside the hearts of all who participate. Heart of the Mystic is anchored in a growing community of people who are willing to share their lives, their experiences and their wisdom with any who are curious enough to inquire, anyone willing to initiate themselves through the natural voices and inner rhythms of their own hearts.
Because of the imbalance of male to female energy in the world right now, Heart of the Mystic will be primarily geared for education in the realm of the divine feminine. And, it will offer these programs for both women and men.
Those who come will experience the merging of spirit in the body; they will learn about and be the keepers of Yin and Yang, God and Goddess. To be in this world, we must remember that we are not of it. To hold the divinity in our physical form, we must honor our bodies as divine vessels. We must listen to and trust our inner voices, we must stop fighting ourselves.
Much of the negativity that comes with this existence can be transmuted by replacing our thoughts and paradoxical sense of being-ness with inclusive, emergent, open heartedness. Those who participate will remember who they are, learning about self-mastery, alchemy and the transmission of unconditional compassion. We will all learn this together. In a way, there will be only students in the Heart of the Mystic.
Because in ourselves we find the origins of the hologram we've dreamed-in our entire lives. Inside that hologram are the fractals of our many lives here on planet Earth, as well as those connecting us to our souls, our memories of spirit; Creation, God, Goddess, and all of divinity.

The Path
I've only ever yearned for what Frank MacEowen calls the "Mist Filled Path," upon which I have always known I would find what I am looking for: myself. I was born a mystic yet have no formal training in the shamanic arts. Nevertheless, I have spent the last many years of my life wandering, consciously seeking the forgotten and the unknown, pulling on the threads to weave myself back together.
This desire to seek has been with me from the beginning, yet I did not reconnect with the Celtic roots of this birthright until fairly recently--finally finding the gateway and was offered safe passage into the otherworld. It's been at times a winding and swirly adventure taking me even deeper into exile, into more caverns, ultimately leading me to this Earthly link that somehow defines and validates this world. I remember it from before; I know the cycle on some level will never end and I don't really want to finish it, yet. I have much more to experience, much more to learn and share with others who meet me here.

Opening to Spirit
Our bodies are vessels for our spirits. We came to this planet in this physical form to experience and perfect the container for our spirits and souls, the parts of us that are eternal and omnipotent, the part of us that remembers and embraces fully, our divine being-ness.
Because the spirit permeates every cell of our bodies, there really isn't any delineation between the physical and the non-physical. There are only connections. Bodies are spiritual; physiology is energy, emotions and thoughts are spiritual and energetic in nature as well.
Possibilities are infinite in this body as long as we are open, willing and aware of our potential. Jesus the avatar said we would "do these things and greater" in reference to his ability to not only walk on water, change water to wine and heal disease, but more importantly he meant our collective ability to be GOD, to develop and strengthen our energy bodies making them more "real," and to infuse our physical bodies, making them more spiritual. Again, there is no delineation; there is only emergence!
Body-Spirit communication meets no resistance to the human form we've chosen, and is enhanced as we nurture our ability to be neutral, amused and enthusiastic. Even so, Body to Spirit communication is not without its challenges along the way. This level of interaction between body and spirit is more than just faith and hope, it is conscious, conscientious evolution to merge and grow into our spiritual natures.
We need only ask and show our willingness as we set the stage for this emergence, taking action on what is conscious. When we act on what we know, we give the world a gift, effortlessly entraining everyone around us, and we in turn receive a gift ourselves: another level of knowledge. Yes, it's so much more than praying or talking to the angels, begging for something different, or waiting for life to happen. We actually need to put in time and energy using our bodies and minds for the things at which they are most proficient. Sometimes it takes a moment, and others a lifetime. Just remember, we chose this form to experience life, the functions and beauty of being human!
Change looks a little something like this: first we acknowledge that we have a lot to learn (what's unknown is much greater than the known)----we gradually become aware of those things------we desire to change-------we become self-realized------we set intentions and real world goals-----we take action-----discovery happens-------we apply what we know through our behaviors, thoughts & emotions-------we become self-actualized--------we play-----and, finally, ascension.
We could be lazy, waiting until death when we relieve ourselves of all our karma, human pain and suffering, all our mistakes and wrong-doing. We can, as they say, absolve ourselves of all our "stuff" at the moment of physical death and just go to heaven. The problem with that idea is complacency; in that model we just keep spinning our eternal wheels, coming back to the same place over and over again with each incarnation.
Opening the body to spirit is a lot like stretching--sometimes it hurts, yet you always feel happier, healthier, more flexible and much stronger afterwards. It becomes fun to push the envelope, growing out of our skin!
Beginning with basic, practical tools for transformation and energy awareness, we give ourselves permission to be powerful by taking responsibility for ourselves and everything we create in our lives. These initial steps can be taken in the introductory pre-requisite courses: Opening to Spirit I & II; Exploring Ceremony, Healing & Intuition; and Balancing Fire & Water, Sun & Moon. Afterwards, the year-long Rhythms of Change takes us into a deeper level of understanding and releasing old negative emotional and thought patterns using our tools, our body, its breath and life force, to celebrate the elements, natural seasons of our planet and our spirit embodied.

Advanced Courses
Rhythms of Change
After completing the initial 12 weeks you will be able to join, if that is your choice, the year-long Opening to Spirit course: Rhythms of Change. You can begin any time that coincides with one of the seasons or cross quarters on the Celtic Wheel of the Year. There are eight segments altogether, each one building on the next. At each season's beginning, you will be given tools, movements, breathing exercises and concepts to look at intuitively as well as incorporate into your daily life. There will always be active and receptive work using Logos and Eros, balancing Yin and Yang, incorporating both sides of your brain, intentionally merging the two hemispheres. Each approximately 6-7 week segment includes several creative assignments--art and writing--a foundation from which you also manifest in the world. On the New and Full Moons you will be given updates and new tools along with guided meditations on audio files which you can download onto your computer or burn a disc.
Here is a list of the eight seasons and a bit of information about each one. There are traditional elements and directions associated with each season and cross quarter, although you may want to integrate the elements in a different way, more aligned with the geographical location in which you live. For example, in Brighid's Isles, you might associate Water with Summer and Air with Winter; Earth with Fall and Fire with Springtime. In the high desert of the Southwestern United States, we merge Winter with Earth, Air with Spring, Water with Summer, and Fire with Fall. This is because it is very dry & earthy in the Winter, windy in the Spring, raining in the Summer and fiery hot in the Fall. You will create your own Wheel of the Year as part of your coursework and will know exactly what to do at that time.
